Our Story
Blakeman's has been part of the Duxbury Beach landscape since the building was first raised in 1941. Through the Blizzard of '78, the Perfect Storm of '91, and decades of sun-drenched summers, this stretch of Gurnet Road has always been a gathering place for locals and visitors alike.
In 2000, Dana and Missy Battista took over what was a modest beachside snack shack and spent years nurturing it into the full-service waterfront restaurant it is today — adding dinner service in 2008 and never losing sight of what makes Blakeman's special: honest, hand-crafted New England seafood served in plain sight of the ocean.
The dining room feels like a fun covered porch, with the bay and Powder Point Bridge framed in every window. On the ocean-side patio, the breeze carries salt air and the sound of waves.
